European Oak Gates for the Goodwood Estate

Bespoke 1930s Replica European Oak Gates

Gates are a speciality of ours, most are bespoke and some have somewhat of a history to them. The Goodwood Estate asked us to make a pair of European Oak Gates for Hound Lodge, which was under renovation as guest accommodation on the estate.

The design was replicated from a 1930's photograph of a gate that was situated elsewhere on the estate some years earlier. Eventually, we made three gates; two for vehicle access, and one for pedestrian access to the woodland, all of them identical.

The European Oak gates were manufactured with care in our workshop at Selham.
