Bespoke hardwood mouldings
In addition to our wide selection of standard ‘in-house’ mouldings profiles, WL West Timber are also able to produce bespoke hardwood mouldings for a range of internal applications; such as architrave, skirting, door frame components and dado rails. We can usually match an existing profile, which is particularly useful for historic or restoration projects, or design a profile to meet your specific requirements.
Our machinery for mouldings
Our workshops use a Weinig Unimat 1000, a fully computer-controlled moulder. To give the very best quality to our customers, we manufacture our own tooling either to our own design or to customers’ design requirements. Controlling all of the tooling in-house allows us to closely control quality and finish of the machined timber.
To complement this we have a Weinig Cube 4 sided planer. This enables us to provide a fast turnaround on planed all round work.
A Felder 5 Axis CNC enables us to machine complex shapes in timber, from curves to ovals to key holes. Together with a heated press for veneer work and edgebander for lippings, this stable of machines can meet a variety of projects.
