Douglas Fir Square-edge Cladding - 200mm wide / 20mm thick

from £62.40

Our native Douglas Fir is strong and naturally durable, with the highest strength rating of a softwood. The timber has a distinctive character, with its attractive salmon pink hue and darker growth rings, weathering slowly to a silvery-grey. Douglas Fir is very straight grained and 30% lighter in weight than oak, making it a cost-effective option for external cladding.

WL West’s homegrown fresh sawn Douglas Fir cladding is sustainably sourced from a local well-managed estate in Sussex. The rustic appearance of sawn profiles make them well suited to rural properties. As it is both tough and durable, with a high resistance to impact, Douglas Fir is also ideal for exposed elevations and areas of hard wear and tear.

Price

  • Price is inclusive of VAT.

  • Delivery costs are calculated separately depending on location.

Finish

  • Our square-edge green Douglas Fir cladding has a rough sawn finish.

  • If you need custom size cladding, please contact our Sales Team (sales@wlwest.co.uk) for a quote.

Installation & Fixings

  • As our Douglas Fir square-edge cladding is fresh sawn it is important you are able to take delivery as soon as it is ready and that the cladding is installed as soon as possible after delivery.

  • It is best to install fresh sawn cladding during Autumn and Winter.

  • Pre-drilling is advised. All fixings should be stainless steel to avoid staining or corrosion. Hand nail with stainless steel nails through the face.
